Aim: Set the scene, lead students to the main part of the period. b. Content: Active words and structures c. Outcome: Ss’ understanding, ability of using the words and structures d. Organization: 1. Warm up: Quiz - Divide class into groups. Ask them to look at the clothes people are wearing and take turn to decide where each person comes from. T : Where does the women in picture a come from? S1: She comes from Japan T: How do you know she comes from japan? S1: Because she is wearing a Kimono. - The group who give the correct answer gets a point 2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’) a. Aim: Students can memorize some new words b. Content: vocabulary, set the scene, structures c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words d. Organization: 2. Presentation -TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present . -C: Co-operation, communication, -Q: Love family, friends and country * Preteach vocab: - Elicits and models -Ask Ss to repeat chorally and individually . - Check R . O. R -Copy in note book *Set the scene: You are going to read the text about the traditional dress of Vietnam * True or false prediction statement: - Ask Ss to guess true or false while closing the book -Ss work in pairs 3. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’) a. Aim: Helps students to speak and listen, understand the tasks b. Content: - answer the questions in the questionaire. c. Outcome: ss can do the task correctly d. Organization: 3. Practice: -TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present . -C: Co-operation, communication, -Q: Love family, friends and country - Ask Ss to read the text and check prediction -Give feedback and correction - ASk Ss to look at the book while listen to the teacher - Call some Ss to read the text - ASk the whole class to read the text in silent then do the exercise a in pairs - Give feedback - Call some Ss stand up to read their compete sentences - Ask Ss to read the text second time to answer the questions - Ask Ss to work in groups of 4 4. ACTIVITY 4: APPLICATION (5’) a. Aim: Stundents apply the knowledge they learnt in practice b. Content: Discussion c. Outcome: students’s talks d. Content: Discussion c. Outcome: students’s talks d. Organization: -TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present . -C: Co-operation, communication, -Q: Love family, friends and country - Ask Ss to work in groups - ASk Ss to interview their friends - After Students have finished their task ask them to report the result of their survey in their group - Ask the representative from each group to present the result of the survey in front of the class Work in groups Example answer: Three people said that they liked uniform -Two people said they usually wore colorful T-shirt on the weekend.
