1. Activity 1: Warm - up
a. Aims: Lead in the new lesson and make ss be interested in the new lesson

Tet is the most important festival in Viet Nam. There are many celebrations in Viet Nam and all over the world. Now come to board and write the celebrations.

* Getting started :
- Give Ss six pictures in Getting started and then ask Ss to guess the names of the pictures.
- Ask Ss to look the picture are the books and then have they read the names of the celebrations.
- Give Ss the corrects answers.
- Ask Ss which celebrations they like best

* Set the scene: You’re going to listen to 3 celebrations
- Ask Ss to think and guess what they are.
- Get feedback from Ss
- Ask Ss to listen to the cassette (books closed); ask them to find out the celebrations mentioned in the text.
- Ask Ss to give the answers.
- Get Ss to listen to the cassette (books opened)
- Then have them find out the words or phrases which are concerned with celebrations.
