- By the end of the lesson. Ss will be able to know about some places Lan went to with a foreign friend and some activities they took part in together.

2.Skill: Listening ,speaking ,reading ,writing

3. Attitude: - Positive about their lesson.

 - Students know how to learn English in right way.

 - Ss are interested in doing exercises.

ACTIVITY 1 (WARM-UP) (5’)
a. Aim: Set the scene, lead students to the main part of the period.	
b. Content: Active words and structures
c. Outcome: Ss’ understanding, ability of using the words and structures
d. Organization:

- Have Ss some questions 
-Ask Ss to work individually

2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’)
a. Aim: Students can memorize some new words
b. Content: vocabulary, set the scene, structures
c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words
d. Organization:

-TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present .
-C: Co-operation, communication, 
-Q: Love family, friends and country
* Set the scene" imagine you are visiting your relatives or friends in another part of Viet Nam or a different country"
- Ask Ss on their own answer the following questions
a.Where are you now?How did you get there?
- Ask 2 or 3 Ss to tell the class about their visit
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to talk to each other about their visit.
- Remind Ss about the format of a personal letter by asking question
? What are the parts of a personal letter?
3. ACTIVITY 3: PRACTICE (20’)
a. Aim: Helps students to speak and listen, understand the tasks 
b. Content: 	
- answer the questions in the questionaire
- write
c. Outcome: ss can do the task correctly
d. Organization:

-TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present .
-C: Co-operation, communication, 
-Q: Love family, friends and country
- Ask Ss to work in group of 5 to write a letter 
to their family, telling them about their visit.
- ASk Ss to follow the out line on page 11 to write the letter
-SS work in pairs to talk about their visit
- Whole class 
- Give the format of the personal letter
4. ACTIVITY 4: APPLICATION (5’)
a. Aim: Stundents apply the knowledge they learnt in practice
b. Content: Discussion
c. Outcome: students’s talks 
d. Organization:
-TM: Play game, practising, discussion group, technical present .
-C: Co-operation, communication, 
-Q: Love family, friends and country
- ASk Ss from each group stick their poster on the board and read their writing
- Correct grammar and vocabulary before the class
Homework 
Ask Ss to write their letters (after correction) at home

Teacher gives some verbs in infinitive and devided the class into 2 groups . T asked 1 Ss / each group to go to the board to write those into simple past. The winner is the S who can write more , exactly in 2 minutes 
2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (15’)
a. Aim: Students can memorize some new words
b. Content: vocabulary, set the scene, structures
c. Outcome: students can read and write the new words

.LF3) The past simple wtth Wish
- ASk Ss to look at the picture and answer the questions
? Is he tall? Is he happy with it?
? What does he have in his mind?
? What tense was used in the clause after "wish"
 Wish is used when we want really to be differentand exactly opposite of the truth
 Form: S+ wish + S + past simple/pastsubjunctive+O/A
Eg: He wishes he were a doctor
Ask Ss to look at the real situations and make wishes
Homework 
 - Ask Ss to make sentences with wish
- Ss wrok in pairs 
- Give feed back and correct
