Knowledge - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the content of the dialogue. Ss ask and answer different traditional food. - Develop listening and speaking skills * Content: - Vocab - The lexical items related to the topic “ Food and Drink” - Grammar: - Skills: speaking, reading and writing 2. Ability - Cooperation, Develop listening, speaking skills and cooperative interaction 3. Attitude - Love and proud of Vietnamese traditional food and drink II. Teaching aids - Ss’ books, text books, tape recorder and CD, projector III. Procedure Ss’ and T’s activities Contents 1.Activity 1 Warm up: (3’) Aim: To attract Ss’ attention to the lesson and to lead in the new lesson. -T shows some pictures of food and drink - Ss give some name of food and drink - Ask Ss about the picture: Where are Phong and his mum? What might be happening to them? What are they doing? What is there in the fridge? 2. Activity 2: Listen &read(10’) Aim: Help Ss interact a conversation talking about food and drink * Teaching new words: Elicit some new words (pictures, realias, situations .) Have Ss read twice * Checking vocab: matching - Have Ss quickly match each word/ phrase with its picture. - Ask Ss to give out the answers - Other Ss share the ideas 3. Activity 3 ( 22) Aim: Help Ss practice exercises with the lexicals of food and drink a) Read the conversation and answer the questions: - Ss work individually to compare the answers with friends. - Play a game in three teams LUCKY FOOD AND DRINK - T correct. Listen and repeat the adjectives. - Ss listen and repeat the adjectives then give their meaning - Ss can add some more adjectives to talk about the food and drink in 2. 4. Activity 4. (9’) Aims: Practice using lexical items related to food and drink and consilidate the content of the lesson (6’) - Repeat main content. -Think about their favorite foods and drinks. - Ask Ss to think about their favorite food and drink. Ss work in pairs - Ask Ss to practice before class - Ss and Teacher comment * Homework: - Give homework. - Guides Ss to do at home. I. Listen and read: 1.Vocabulary: - tofu(n): đậu phụ - noodles (n): mì, mì sợi - warm sth up ( v): hâm nóng gì - mineral water (n): nước khoáng - carton (n): hộp bìa cứng 2. Match the food and drink with the pictures. 1- J, 2 - F, 3 - A, 4- B, 5 - D, 6 - I, 7- G, 8 - H, 9- E, 10 - C. II. Practice: Ex 1. a) Read the conversation and answer the questions: 1. Because his parents are going to the opera tonight and they won’t be home until 9 pm. 2. There’s some rice left from lunch. 3. Phong should warm it up. 4. She’ll buy some milk tomorrow. 5. He can have some orange juice instead of milk. 4. Listen and repeat the adjectives. 1. bitter 5. salty 2. delicious 6. spicy 3. tasty 7. fragrant 4. sweet 8. sour Green tea is bitter. Lemonade is sour. Beef noodles soup is very delicious Ex3. Think about their favorite foods and drinks. Example: A: What’s your favorite food? B: It’s pho bo - beef noodle soup. A: When do you usually eat it? B: In the morning. A: How do you feel it?/ How is it ? B: It’s delicious. Homework - Learn by heart the new words, read the dialogue again and practice. + Prepare a closer look 1 - Be ready for a closer look 1.Review the food’s words and do exercises 1,2,3
