Procedure Ss’ and T’s activities Contents. 1.Activity 1* Warm up: (4’) * Aim: -To activate students’ knowledge on the topic of the unit Brainstorming: Words about food and drink ( Using pictures) 2.Activity 2:Vocabulary:(22’) Aim: use lexical items related to food and drink and how to make the dishes - Uses some techniques to teach vocab - Checking: matching the pitures. - Guide Ss to read these words - Ss repeat chorally and individually. Ex1. - T check Ss’ answers - Ask ss to read again the instructions - Note: Use the imperative sentences to make the instruction Ex3. - Check Ss’ understanding of the meanings of the nouns given by matching the pictures with the words . - Ss put the nouns in the correct columns. - Ask Ss to do on the board - T gives feedback 3. Activity 3: Pronunciation:( 12’) Aims: Ss can pronunciation corectly the sounds / ɒ / and / ɔ: /. - Let Ss listen to a video of how to pronunce the sounds / ɒ / and / ɔ: /. - T pronounces these sounds and ask Ss to make the difference between two sounds, T gives out examples Ex4. T models the sounds / ɒ / and / ɔ: / first and let Ss see how the sounds are formed. 4. Feedback.(7’) Aims: To revise the lesson and prepare for the next lesson. - Ask Ss to repeat the instructions on how to make a pancake. Homework - Give homework. - Guide ss to do at home.
